Etsy profit calculator
See the fees, your costs, and the profit for one US-dollar order before you list.
Your listing details
Enter the order, then calculate. The receipt lists each fee, the revenue it used, and the profit after your costs.
Tax changes processing, and it stays out of the other fees
Seller revenue is the item subtotal, buyer shipping, and gift wrap. The transaction fee is 6.5% of that revenue. Processing is 3% + $0.25 of the revenue plus sales tax. Offsite Ads, when you mark the order as attributed, are 15% or 12% of the same revenue, capped at $100. Listing fees are $0.20 times the charge count you enter.
The 12% tier follows Etsy’s shop-sales threshold and is not inferred from this order. If you are unsure about attribution or the tier, the page shows each total. A target price keeps shipping, gift wrap, and the tax amount fixed, then checks the rounded result, including the $100 cap.
The amounts match the October 9, 2026 review ofEtsy’s fee policyandEtsy Payments. The review date does not establish rates for historical orders. Regulatory fees, currency conversion, and subscriptions are outside the estimate.

Common questions
Why include labor?
Cash left after Etsy fees can leave out the time spent making the item. Enter hours and an hourly rate when the price needs to cover that time.
Do all Etsy fees include sales tax?
In this US model, transaction and Offsite Ads fees exclude remitted sales tax. Payment processing includes it. The fee policy is https://www.etsy.com/legal/fees/ and Etsy Payments is https://www.etsy.com/legal/etsy-payments/.
Should I choose 12% or 15% Offsite Ads?
Choose the tier that applies to the shop and say whether this order was attributed. Shop history decides eligibility. One product price does not.
Is there an Offsite fee cap?
The reviewed policy caps the Offsite Ads fee at $100 per order. The calculator applies that cap after multiplying the revenue by the rate you chose.
Why enter a listing charge count?
Renewals and quantity can create more than one $0.20 listing charge. Enter the charges that belong to the order. The count does not add a second processing fee.
Can I compare handmade and print-on-demand costs?
Each mode uses its own costs. Handmade includes materials and labor. Print on demand includes the provider base, provider shipping, and one packaging or design amount. The other mode’s costs are left out so they are not counted twice.
